Can't Leave a Tree to Be
Our planet has done it since primordial time
Set in motion by some undiscovered rhyme
Like tectonic plates we to carve out our places
Digging deep for erection of our spaces
Got to have a side to see
Got to have them and me
Can’t find the right in thee
Can’t leave a tree to be?
We’re so good at leaving our mark
But in the end we all lose the spark
Look for a meaning in what is not said
Hear the cry from the inner voice instead
Got to have a side to see
Got to have them and me
Can’t find the right in thee
Can’t leave a tree to be?
What if we don’t change what we see
And reconcile the you and the me
Give up some of the bygone inhibitions
For a union with more harmonic positions
Ah but we Got’ a have a side to see
Got to have them and me
Can’t find the right in thee
Can’t leave a tree to be?
